United Filters International ULTRA-D Submicron Filter Line Gets a Facelift with its Latest Eco Series
Sun Valley, CA – Global manufacturer of filtration systems announces the latest addition to its ULTRA-D line of water filtration products for a wide range of applications working equally well in fresh, brackish or salt waters.
The Eco series maintains the original submicron filtration benefits of the original ULTRA-D line, with the added benefits of a 5-micron sediment wrap on the exterior, allowing for greater reduction of dirt, sand, sediment, rust and fine particles. This configuration is available with all models of ULTRA-D filters: original media, original with carbon, original with an NSF-approved microbial agent (Agion silver), original with Agion silver and carbon.
The ULTRA-D Eco Series uses a proprietary and patented electroadsorptive technology for water filtration. This unique media attracts many submicron pathogens and inorganic contaminants through electro-adhesion, not through traditional mechanical filtration. The ULTRA-D media consists of coated micro-glass fibers produced using a wet laid nonwoven manufacturing technology. The media has a much larger physical pore size which allows for higher flow rates and lower pressure drop, yet removes submicron particles due to the inherent charge field extending across the void volume of the pores. The media in the ULTRA-D filter is NSF 42 and 61-approved and carries WQA Gold Seal certification.
The ULTRA-D filter reduces or removes the following pathogens and heavy metals:
• >99.99% viruses (polio, rotovirus, norovirus, etc.)*
