Submersible Pressure Transducer has 318SS wetted parts.

Press Release Summary:

Manufactured in 318SS enclosure rated IP68 to 200 mWG, Model 595 features integral specific gravity compensation that provides true level reading - even when subjected to media temperature changes over 23-113°F range. Hermetic header eliminates possibility of water entering transducer. Resistant to effects of humidity, product is offered with 2-wire/4-20 mA, SDI-12 w/4-20 mA, RS485, or SDI-12 output. It comes in gauge pressure ranges from 5-40 mWG.

Setra Systems Introduces the Model 595 Slimline, Submersibe, Pressure Transducer

Boxborough, Mass. -- Setra Systems, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of pressure measurement devices, introduces its new Model 595 digitally compensated submersible pressure transducer.

The Model 595's integral specific gravity compensation gives a true level reading even when subjected to media temperature changes over the range of +23°F to +113°F (-5°C to +45°C), making this unit ideal for groundwater monitoring, sewer flow monitoring, storm water studies, stream flow monitoring, infiltration/inflow studies, pump tests, irrigation, flood warning, sea level, tide and wave monitoring applications.

The Model 595 has 318 stainless steel wetted parts, which makes it resistant to corrosion and ideal for long term submersible operation. Its custom-designed hermetic header guarantees that water cannot enter the transducer even if the cable sheath is damaged. Rapid venting is achieved through the large bore vent tube connected directly to the back of the sensor. The sensor is resistant to the effects of humidity, which can cause condensation.

The Model 595 is offered with choice of 2-wire/4 to 20 mA (for use with non communication data recorders), SDI-12 w/4 to 20 mA, RS485, or SDI-12 output. The SDI-12 communication version offers minimal current draw for battery powered operation. The SDI-12 and RS485 versions allow remote calibration via the cable by means of a PC or a hand-held interface. This reduces the installation time and eliminates the need to withdraw the unit from the media for calibration.

Offered in gauge pressure ranges from 5 mWG up to 40 mWG, the 595 has a total error band of <±0.1% over the compensated temperature range of +23°F to +113°F (-5°C to +45°C), and an operating temperature of-13°F to +158°F (-25°C to 70°C). The pressure port is a G1/4" at External Thread with Nosecone, and the electrical termination is a Polyurethane cable. The 318SS enclosure is rated IP68 to 200 mWG.
