New GridBee(TM) Submersible Circulator Helps Restore Water Quality to Ponds, Lakeshores and Other Recreational Waters

Compared to other mechanical alternatives that impact only a small portion of the pond, one GridBee circulator prevents stagnant water throughout the entire pond surface area.

Dickinson, ND - May 29, 2009 -- The new GridBee(TM) submersible circulator from SolarBee®, Inc. improves water quality in ponds, small lakes and other recreational waters. By creating a gentle, near-laminar flow across the surface of the water (up to three surface acres), the GridBee circulator reduces blue-green algae and helps restore biodiversity. Ideal for golf courses, municipal fishing ponds, lakeshore areas and any small water body susceptible to pond scum, the electric-powered circulator works from beneath the water surface and does not detract from the natural environment.

The GridBee circulator is a simple and economical alternative to algaecides, aerators, bubblers or fountains

Compared to other mechanical alternatives that impact only a small portion of the pond, one GridBee circulator prevents stagnant water throughout the entire pond surface area, and from the surface of the pond all the way down to the depth the GridBee is set for.

"The GridBee circulator is a simple and economical alternative to algaecides, aerators, bubblers or fountains," said Cliff Tormaschy, GridBee product manager. "Compared to other mechanical alternatives that impact only a small portion of the pond, one GridBee circulator prevents stagnant water throughout the entire pond surface area, and from the surface of the pond all the way down to the depth the GridBee is set for."

With a flow rate of 400 gpm, the GridBee unit is located 6 to 36 inches beneath the water surface and is available with an optional 10-inch float ball for visibility. GridBee circulators are equipped with a shoreline converter that reduces standard 110 vAC/5 amp utility power to a safe, low voltage in the water. Units are made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and non-corrosive polymer for durability and low maintenance.
