DALTON, GA, January 5, 2008 - BASF has launched Styrofan NX 4628 styrene-butadiene latex for carpet backing adhesives and precoats to enable greater use of recycled materials.

"BASF continues to look for ways to add value to our customers' business," said Bert Templeton, Carpet Business Manager for the BASF Acrylics and Dispersions business in North America. "This new latex provides important benefits to help our customers more easily incorporate recycled materials into their carpet products."

"Carpet makers are looking to include more recycled content into their carpet adhesive compounds," said Barry Fowler, Carpet Technical Manager for BASF in North America.
