Appleton Stylmaster Strobe & Beacon Fixtures Provide Powerful Warning Signals in Hazardous & Marine Applications
SKOKIE, IL, July 2, 2002 -- Appleton's new Stylmaster® line of enclosed and gasketed strobe and beacon lighting fixtures are designed to support emergency warning programs in oil refineries, foundries and other locations where flammable gasses and vapors are present (NEC Class I, Div. 2; Class II; Class III).
Ruggedly constructed of copper-free aluminum and protected with a corrosive-resistant powder coat epoxy, the new fixtures produce bright, powerful lighting signals, making them ideal for areas where audible signals can not be heard. The strobe model flashes 65 times per minute, while the beacon design rotates 75 times per minute. Both can be easily mounted in any position, including globe up or globe down, using pendant, ceiling or wall bracket mounts. To assist buyers in specifying the right fixture for their communication needs, Appleton offers lenses in five colors -- red, amber, blue, green and clear.
In addition to working in hazardous locations, the fixtures are optimized for use in marine and wet locations where corrosive elements can compromise the integrity of emergency lighting systems. To keep out moisture and dirt, the globe seats firmly against a silicone gasket to ensure a tight, long-lasting seal.
