Shipping Odd-Sized Loads Made Secure With The YellowJacket 110(TM) Stretch-Wrap Machine

MARION, INDIANA - It just makes sense that to transport an odd-sized load more securely on a shipping pallet, it needs to be secured to the pallet. Now there is a stretch-wrap machine that does just that in one step.

The new YellowJacket 110(TM) (U.S. & International patent-pending) has been engineered utilizing orbital Lock Down Technology to stretch-wrap cargo of any size and shape right to the pallet while the load is already on the forklift.

Available at a fraction of the cost of other strapping or wrap systems, the YellowJacket 110 stretch-wrap machine is mounted on locking casters for easy placement and stability, adding convenience and saving time, and it plugs into any 110-volt outlet, saving energy.

Traditional stretch-wrap machines wrap around a vertical axis. They bind the load, but they don't secure it to the shipping pallet, says Wayne Benson, who oversees Technical Sales and Installation for the YellowJacket 110.

The YellowJacket 110 wraps around a horizontal axis. The wrapping cylinder carries a spool of stretch-wrap on a moving dispenser. The stretch-wrap is dispensed around and under the loaded pallet, while the cylinder is manually or automatically advanced forward across the pallet, Benson explains.

The result is a tighter, more secure wrap for standard loads, and the elimination of straps or bands that are normally needed to attach irregularly sized or shaped loads to the pallet. Also, the YellowJacket 110 is easy to operate and just as easy to maintain with off-the-shelf replacement parts.

We're manufacturing manual or tabletop versions of the YellowJacket 110 that can be utilized by almost any operator that stretch-wraps product for shipping, say Benson. And, we can customize fully automatic and semi-automatic models to meet a customer's specific needs. The Yellowjacket 110 is the secure stretch-wrap solution.

The YellowJacket 110 stretch-wrap machine is engineered and manufactured by YellowJacket LLP, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wiley Metal Fabricating, headquartered in Marion, IN. Wiley Metal has been a supplier of metal components to leading manufacturers of recreational vehicles since 1982, as well as metal parts and fabricated assemblies for a broad range of specialized industries.
