StreamShield Delivers Next Generation Clean Internet Pipes Solutions for IP Networks

LONDON, March 30, 2006 - StreamShield Networks, the leader in real-time internet content security, today announces availability of release 2.1 of its clean internet pipes technology enabling network operators and service providers to deliver the most advanced range of IP-based content security services within their networks. Additionally, StreamShield also announces that it has joined the Cisco Technology Developer Program as an internet content security participant and its CSG-3100 content security gateway has met the Cisco Technology Developer Program test criteria for interoperability with the Cisco Layer 3 routing and switching products.

The Cisco Technology Developer Program sets criteria for interoperability testing and helps leading product and services firms to deploy innovative business solutions. The program provides enterprise or service provider customers with information regarding Cisco Technology Developer Partner products and services that the Cisco Technology Developer Partner believes meet the program's criteria for interoperability with Cisco networking technology.

StreamShield's advanced solution enables service providers and network operators to incorporate clean internet pipes technologies into their IP networks to protect both their infrastructure and their subscribers from content-based threats such as viruses, malware, spyware, adware, unwanted content, etc. StreamShield's silicon-based content security gateway, CSG-3100, fully integrates with the service provider's existing switch, router and firewall infrastructure to extend protection up to layer 7.

"Cisco supports open, standards-based architectures and shares a commitment to interoperable solutions with StreamShield Networks. Through this vision the Cisco Technology Developer Program delivers the power of choice to enterprises or service providers-the ability to extend the Cisco end-to-end architecture with our participants' solid products and technologies," said Sue Flaherty, Cisco Program Manager. "With Cisco Technology Developer Program member offerings such as the StreamShield CSG-3100, customers can deploy a broad range of business solutions that foster innovation and drive rapid adoption of business-critical technologies."

Geoff Bennett, StreamShield's Director of Product Marketing, adds: "Our ground-breaking clean internet pipes solution is changing the way service providers and network operators deliver protection against the serious and growing range of content-based threats. We continue to innovate and expand the capabilities of our solution, and by integrating with third party switch, router and firewall products we enable our customers to maximize the value of their network infrastructure investment."
