Stratasys' Polyjet System Earns Industry Honors

MINNEAPOLIS, May 22 - (Nasdaq: SSYS) - Stratasys, a manufacturer and distributor of rapid prototyping systems is pleased to announce that the Eden500V, a large-format PolyJet rapid prototype system, has recently been awarded two industry editorial awards recognizing the product's superiority, innovation and popularity with readers and industry decision makers.

Design News magazine selected the Eden500V as a finalist for its Golden Mousetrap - Best New Products awards contest in March, 2006 and the readers of Desktop Engineering magazine chose the Eden500V as the winner of its Readers' Choice Award for April 2006.

The Eden500V is one of the newest members of the Eden line of PolyJet systems, manufactured by Objet Geometries and distributed in North America by Stratasys. Its build envelope is more than 70 percent larger than previous PolyJet systems, permitting the construction of bigger models and allowing multiple models to be produced simultaneously in a single run. And, with its jumbo-size material cartridges, it also can operate unattended for 360 percent longer without user intervention, increasing productivity.

In addition, the Yaxis has been doubled from 300 dpi to 600 dpi. Operators now also have the choice of two build modes: high speed and high quality. In high speed mode, a part can be produced an average of 60 percent faster than with previous Eden models. While in the high quality mode, the Eden500V still produce parts with .0006 in. layers, resulting in some of the smoothest surface finishes and finest feature details in the industry.
