Newest SCU-8 Strapping Machine for the Corrugated Industry Allows for Faster Production Speeds
Mississauga, ON - Samuel Strapping Systems, manufacturer of state-of-the-art strapping and unitizing equipment, announces the rollout of its newest model SCU-8 strapping machine for the corrugated industry. Its precision features include an externally located programming port, external tension adjustment, and redundant safety relay contacts in addition to an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix programmable logic controller (PLC) with Ethernet connectivity. This newest model provides for faster production speeds, using up to four strapping heads, an optional feature that answers customer demand.
Like the earlier version of model SCU-8 that it replaces, this is a tough machine made of rugged materials and with very few wearing parts-the fewest in the industry. It comes out ahead of all competitive models that handle corrugated unitizing and strapping due to its reliability and user-friendly programmable controller. With the OEM controls, this strapping system can interface with any standard conveyor equipment.
Additionally, the new SCU-8 is designed to exceed current electrical safety requirements, including arc flash compliance.
Customers can choose polyester or polypropylene strapping in 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", or other widths and gauges. The strap feed is from the side of the machine, so the operator never needs to compromise safety by climbing out on the conveyor. The strap track features rugged stainless steel flappers and fully enclosed corners. Such attention to detail gives the corrugated industry a machine with high reliability that improves efficiency.
