Stormwater Chambers are offered with internal manifold.

Press Release Summary:

Recharger® 180 and 280 incorporate internal manifold feature, which introduces design flexibility to stormwater management system and decreases required installation footprint. Located on chamber, 2 side portals allow manifolding to take place at any point within system, eliminate need to build external manifolds, and optimize cross-feed capabilities. High Volume Low Velocity (HVLV) FC-24 Feed Connectors, open on both endwalls, are inserted into side portals to construct manifold.

CULTEC Introduces Internal Manifold on Recharger 180, 280 Models

BROOKFIELD, CT/June 15, 2008 - CULTEC, Inc. has added an internal manifold feature, previously found exclusively on the Recharger® 330XL and V8(TM), to the company's Recharger 180 and 280 models. This feature introduces the superior design flexibility to the stormwater management system and decreases the required installation footprint.

Two side portals located on the chamber allow manifolding to take place at any point within the system, eliminating the need to build external manifolds, thereby condensing the system by decreasing the footprint required. High Volume Low Velocity (HVLV) FC-24 Feed Connectors, open on both endwalls, are inserted into the side portals to construct the manifold. The cross-feed capabilities enabled by the manifold's side portals offer greater flow than that available from 18" diameter pipe.

Because CULTEC systems will no longer require an external manifold, the company is eliminating the HVLV 180 Header System, which was previously used to convey stormwater to chambers and facilitate infiltration. CULTEC intends to incorporate the internal manifold feature into all of its new designs. The exceptions are CULTEC's existing Recharger 150 and low-profile Contactor® series, which are used for installations with depth restrictions or when a larger infiltrative area is needed. These will require a conventional pipe manifold, with the header, feed and outflow pipes available separately from local pipe suppliers.

CULTEC, Inc., headquartered in Brookfield, Connecticut, is a national manufacturer of plastic chambers used in subsurface retention/detention stormwater management systems and septic applications. In addition, the company has designed its own manifold and water quality systems to complement its product line. CULTEC offers a complete stormwater management plan to help engineers and their clients meet Phase II regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Water Act. The company currently provides the largest variety of sizes and types of products of any chamber manufacturer, and its Recharger® and Contactor® models have an established history on the stormwater and septic markets dating back to 1986.
