Original Press Release:
IFH Storage and Dispensing System Provides Better Way to Handle Industrial Oils, Lubricants and Fluids
Rock Falls, IL, October 2003 - The Innovative Fluid Handling Systems Storage & Dispensing System from the IFH Group provides an easier, safer and cleaner alternative to clumsy, messy 55-gallon drums for handling oils, lubricants and other fluids such as cutting oils, bearing oils, hydraulic fluids, transmission fluids and engine oils.
The IFH Storage and Dispensing System provides clean, efficient product transfer. There's no drum tipping cleaning and switching, and no replacement of drum pumps. The IFH Storage and Dispensing System takes up less floor space, helps maintain proper inventory, and contains spills.
For example, nine 55-gallon drums can take up 120 sq. ft. of floor space. In contrast, an IFH eight container Storage & Dispensing System takes up only 25 sq. ft., saving 95 sq. ft. of space. And, at 520 gallons total capacity, a Storage & Dispensing System with eight 65-gallon containers actually holds 25 more gallons of product.
The IFH Storage and Dispensing system with eight 65-gallon containers shown in the photo is but one of 21 standard Storage & Dispensing Systems available from the IFH Group. The number and capacity of the containers in this system can be varied to suit the requirement. And, if one of the many standard systems available can't handle the job, there are a variety of customized designs available to meet virtually any fluid handling requirement. All IFH Storage and Dispensing Systems come with a 5-year limited warranty.
All IFH Storage & Dispensing Systems allow storage of product close to the work area, cutting handling costs by as much as 80%. Easy product flow cuts retrieval time by as much as 50% to 75% over drums and pumps.
And, IFH systems eliminate drum deposits. A user can pump 55 gallons worth of product into the Storage & Dispensing System in minutes and return the empty drum on the delivery truck, saving deposit costs of $20-30 per drum. Plus, the ten gallons of additional capacity provided by the 65-gallon containers, combined with the highly visible sight gauges, eliminates the danger of running out of product. The entire contents of a 55-gallon drum can be pumped into the Storage & Dispensing System well before the overhead container is empty. This reduces the downtime of employees changing drum pumps.
Clearly labeled containers and faucets reduce the chance of the wrong product being used. IFH Storage & Dispensing Systems also eliminate inefficient and unsafe product transfer and waste (most 55-gallon drums are returned to the supplier with anywhere from 2 to 5 gallons of product still left in them).
Drip pans contain spills. Cleanup is quick and easy, with self-closing faucets and timer shut-off that allows minimal operator supervision and involvement and frees workers to concentrate their energies elsewhere.
