Lincoln Electric Introduces New Pipeliner® Stick Electrodes

Cleveland - Lincoln Electric's family of Pipeliner® products has grown with the additions of six new stick electrodes - the 7P+, 8P+, 17P, 18P, 19P and 20P. These new products help position Pipeliner as an even more complete line for application solutions in the pipeline industry.

7P+ and 8P+ are cellulosic electrodes recommended for root, hot, fill and cap pass welding. They are designed for use in all position welding, featuring high stacking efficiency in difficult vertical down and out-of-position applications.

The four other new electrodes are all low-hydrogen electrodes for fill and cap pass vertical up welding, recommended for DC+ use. Each electrode is designed for different grades of pipe - 17P, 18P, 19P and 20P - but all offer similar advantages. Excellent in any position (except vertical down), these electrodes produce x-ray quality welds, superior arc performance, easy slag removal and outstanding mechanical properties. With an Easy Strike® tip and Integrated Silicate Technology(TM), these electrodes also feature reduced hydrogen cracking, square burn off, and an improved arc start with less porosity.

All these new stick electrodes come in easy open hermetically sealed cans, and feature Lincoln's industry leading quality assurance. Certified to our Q2 standard, they are tested per AWS A5.1 and AWS5.5/A5.5M respectively with actual certificates of test available online.
