Sterling Contract Packaging Adds Plastic Tube Filling and Sealing Operation
Sterling Contract Packaging of Spartanburg, South Carolina has added a fully automatic plastic tube filling and sealing machine to their operation. With average run rates of approximately 25 tubes per minute, this operation will allow Sterling CPI to have complete control of the process and provide a higher quality product to their customers.
Installed in late 2010, the tube filling and sealing machine can accommodate tubes up to 8.25" in length and fill quantities from .25 ounces to 8 ounces. With the ability to handle semi-viscous to viscous liquids, the equipment will allow Sterling CPI to service a wider variety of customers. Having this machine in their facility will also allow Sterling CPI to reduce finished goods inventory and turn products around quicker for their customers. Sterling CPI is known for having an extremely efficient operation and this machine will allow them to run smaller quantities and reduce scrap which will assist in controlling cost for their customers.
