NYDEN's New Maximum Torque PCE 5-Phase Stepper Series for Aggregate Industry. CE-Rated!

San Jose, CA--A longstanding leader in step motor drive technology, NYDEN CORPORATION offers the latest in Five-Phase Motion Control with off-the-shelf availability of its new CE-rated PCE High Torque Motor Series. Outperforming their standard and high torque 5-Phase predecessors, the PCE series achieves almost double the torque for moving extremely heavy loads. Optimal safety factor, low cost, increased torque margin and the convenience of saving critical space and weight by maintaining standard NEMA sizes for easy integration are just a few advantages for designers when using NYDEN's 5-Phase PCE stepper motor series in place of costly servo systems.

Enhanced features represent further work spent on improving the internal design of the motor. The new design holds a separator between the motor's coil, stator and phase supply. This pattern provides maximum safety by raising the motor's dielectric strength to 3000V from its preceding counterpart's strength of 1000V. More areas of design improvement include: adding sealed protection from dust and moisture, building a higher quality cast iron exterior, and enhancing the high permeability steel material within the motor's stator flux. The motors' higher torque performance is propelled from a heightened operative power generating between the intensity of the stator pole and magnetic fluxes of the rotor.

The PCE Series is available in three lengths and NEMA sizes 17, 23 and 34. Producing nearly 900 Oz-in holding torque without a gear reduction system, these new high technology steppers also provide users the highest running speed possible with accurate positioning and very low vibration. For a variety of overloaded starting operations and stop-and-stall applications, the motors are compact and operate smoothly and quietly without resonance and heat. Furthermore, their highly-engineered craftsmanship provides rugged productivity and long life with no regular maintenance.

Intended for severe duty usage such as heavily loaded automated and material handling conveyor/speed control applications, the PCE series is also compatible with a wide selection of OEM applications, such as food processing systems, automation products for the metal and wood industries, medical systems, robotics, image-processing/machine-vision systems, lighting contrivances, aerospace equipment, aggregate processing equipment of both linear and rotary levels, solid state technology products, semiconductors & wafer handling equipment, lasers, fiber optic/broadband devices, test & measurement devices, and packaging equipment. The option to include a double shaft version provides flexibility when hooking up the motor to an encoder, damper, gear mechanism, or other exterior device. Furthermore, the motors are CE rated to fulfill international safety standards and for RFI/EMI interference.

Dimensions range from 33 mm long (for the size 17 model) up to 98 mm (for the NEMA 34 line). A high resolution performance is 500 Full Steps per Revolution (.72° per step) and 1000 Half Steps per Revolution (.36° per step). Nano speed is easily achieved when paring the PCE models with NYDEN's patented NanoDrive(TM) Drivers, which allows the user to run the motor up to 500,000 steps per revolution. To date, this level is the highest resolution possible for hybrid stepping motors and compact servo systems. Further features of the PCE series include: 5 connections for use with NYDEN's patented bipolar STAR drivers, easy adaptability to different controller types, wide range of torque and speed models, and a step angle accuracy of +/- 3 minutes.

NYDEN CORPORATION, located in San Jose, California, is the R&D and sales headquarters for MYCOM, INC., of Kyoto, Japan. The company's unique approach to customer service success is achieved by the support of thousands of engineers and end-users worldwide. A multi-million dollar company, NYDEN is proud to carry MYCOM's patented NanoDrive(TM), the first high resolution series to run over 500,000 steps/revolution, and the 5-Phase STAR Driver Stepping Systems, a series of low-cost 5-Phase stepper motors and drivers that offer increased true resolution with virtually no low speed resonance problems. The company is also the first to design the world's highest Nano-type 5-Phase Series. The NanoDrive(TM) offers users true resolution of over 500,000 steps per revolution for the highest accuracy and lowest vibration possible.

NYDEN CORPORATION supplies a new generation of motion control systems geared for every type of application. We offer 5-phase & 2-phase stepper motors with matching drivers, customized multi-axis programmable stand-alone controllers for steppers and digital servos, ISA and PCI-Bus motion controller cards, and a variety of motion-related accessories.
