Hurst Manufacturing Introduces Model LS Low-Cost 35mm and 42mm Stepper Motors



New solution offers higher torque in a cost-effective package

Princeton, IN, Sept. 9, 2002... Hurst Manufacturing, a division of Emerson Motor Technologies, recently launched its low-cost 35MM and 42MM stepper motor solution - Model LS. With an industry standard mounting, the direct-drive Model LS stepper motor is ideal for applications requiring a cost competitive motor in a small package.

Both the 35 MM and 42 MM Direct Drive frame sizes offer the following specifications:
o Step angle: 7.5°
o Positional accuracy: ±5% max.
o Number of phases: 4 phase bi-filar

The new Model LS is also available as a geared motor. The LS geared solution is a synergy of the new 35 MM and 42 MM stepper motors, coupled with the Hurst traditional Model A gearbox. This solution offers customers up to 150 oz-in of torque in a cost-effective package.
