New RoHS Compliant High Resolution Step Motor System
Torrance, CA - ORIENTAL MOTOR USA CORP. introduces the new high resolution series of 5- phase step motors and drivers. This RoHS compliant CRK-M family consists of 3 step motor and driver models that offer a basic step angle of 0.36°.
The improved vibration stability of the 5-phase step motor can usually be readily integrated into an existing 2-phase system. The CRK 5-phase basic step angle can be quickly adjusted to achieve any 2-phase step motors step angles. A direct switchover from the 2- phase microstep mode can be easily performed without having to change input pulses by the CRK step motor and driver series.
The high resolution CRK-M series models include 8 models with a single shaft extension and 8 models with a double shaft extension. Available frame sizes range from the smallest CRK523PMAP (28mm - 1.10") with 5.9 oz-in holding torque to the CRK546PMAP (42mm - 1.65") with 59 oz-in holding torque to the largest CRK569PMAP (60mm - 2.36") with 320 oz-in holding torque.
The Oriental Motor CRK driver features a new "Smooth Drive" function that significantly reduces velocity fluctuation to near zero, especially when switching from full step to half step mode. The high resolution CRK-M series is designed with a static angle error of 2 arc-minutes (0.034°) that is 30% more accurate than the standard CRK model.
The RoHS directive prevents the use of six chemical substances in electrical and electronic products sold in the Economic Union (EU).
