Quick Tensioning Systems (QTS) Launches Improved, Simpler Design for Apshen Stencil Foil Adapter System
Medway, Massachusetts, USA — The Quick Tensioning Systems (QTS) Apshen Stencil Foil System for the DEK® VectorGuard® High Tension stencil frame now features an improved, simplified, more robust design that will add to its ease of use and performance, states Thomas Erdmann, CEO of QTS and developer of the Apshen system. “This simpler single-molded system provides added strength and performance, while simplifying assembly and cleaning.” The Apshen allows users of the VectorGuard system to use their own stencils, or stencils produced by the stencil foil vendor of their choice, in their VectorGuard frames.
“One customer in Eastern Europe has told us that the Apshen performs better than original equipment in tensioning the frame system, and in stencil printing performance,” Erdmann added. “Maintaining uniform, consistent foil tension is a key process parameter especially in fine pitch and fine feature SMT printing.”
Apshen gives VectorGuard users a choice they didn’t have before, according to Erdmann. They could only purchase stencils that fit the VectorGuard system from VectorGuard or from a licensee. Now, they can purchase them from whoever they choose. Apshen is an effective adapter system that allows the user to use their own existing foils, or foils manufactured by a vendor whom they choose, in VectorGuard frames. Apshen, he adds, is a patent-pending design that won’t compromise your VectorGuard system and does not infringe on any existing patents.
Apshen’s aluminum cover and injection molded base fit onto the edge of stencil foils. They‘re quick to attach and make a solid connection for the life of the stencil. They are available in a range of anodized colors.
