SteelCloud Adds Middleware to its High Availability Server Line
HERNDON, Va., Jan. 16 - SteelCloud, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCLD), a leading engineering and manufacturing integrator of network centric and embedded computing solutions, today announced a strategic alliance with GoAhead® Software, experts in building middleware for highly available systems. Under the terms of the agreement, SteelCloud will integrate GoAhead SelfReliant®, market-leading, high-availability and management software with the Company's AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA server platforms. The SteelCloud platforms provide federal integrators with a standards-based, application-ready platform, for developing mission-critical applications for the United States Department of Defense or any environment that requires 99.999% availability.
"While equipment manufacturers want the value of standards-based solutions, there is a significant amount of work to be done to create a solution that is application ready," states Jim Ewel, GoAhead CEO. "With 15,000 deployments worldwide, GoAhead SelfReliant will add proven high availability capabilities to the SteelCloud platforms, giving customers the flexibility, cost and time efficiencies offered by standards in a fully integrated, validated platform."
"With integrated SelfReliant software, a SteelCloud high availability server allows our federal integrator customers to dramatically shorten the time it takes for them to deliver an ultra high availability solution," said Clifton W. Sink, SteelCloud President and CEO. "The new SteelCloud high availability systems will provide application development teams with an already integrated and tested platform. This allows them to focus their efforts on software application development and functionality which ultimately leads to their competitive differentiation. We're excited about this new partnership with GoAhead because there is growing demand for high-availability systems in both federal and industrial markets."
The new servers will be available for demonstration at the SteelCloud Solutions Center in Herndon, Virginia. Complete servers with SelfReliant middleware start at $275,000. The alliance with GoAhead will also permit SteelCloud to provide the software separately.
