Suited for shipbuilding, railcar, and general fabrication, Tri-Mark® Metalloy® 76 produces minimal spatter and improves wetting action while minimizing cold lap and root pores. Metal-cored, carbon steel wire, usable in single- and multi-pass welding, is available in .035-3/32 in. dia and operates using DCEP (reverse polarity). Product is designed for use with shielding gas mixture of 75-95% argon/balance CO2.
Original Press Release:
Tri-Mark® Metalloy® 76 Wire Improves Performance in Short-Circuit and Pulsed Applications
-Reduces cold lap and root pores
-Superior wetting action
-Lower spatter and higher strength
Troy, OHIO. January 27, 2005-To improve wetting action while minimizing cold lap, Hobart Brothers introduces its Tri-Mark® Metalloy® 76 metal-cored carbon steel wire. Designed for shipbuilding, railcar and general fabrication, Metalloy 76 has superb operator appeal for single- and multi-pass welding.
Improved Performance
Designed with higher deoxidation elements than other solid or E70C-6M H4 metal-cored wires, Metalloy 76 offers lower spatter and high strength welds on heavier sections of steel, including mill-scaled plates. Metalloy 76 also provides better wetting action than solid wire, minimizing cold lap on heavy steel applications. For use with a shielding gas mixture of 75 to 95 percent Argon/Balance CO2, Metalloy 76 is available in standard diameters ranging from .035- to 3/32-in. and operates using DCEP (reverse polarity).
