Universal Engineering's Newest Product Revolutionizes Primary Impact Crushing
Universal's MaxCap Primary Impact Crusher Sets New Standards for
Durability, Versatility and Profitability
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (September 2, 2003) - Higher reduction ratios, lower costs per ton, cubical products with superior soundness and maximum sustained productivity served as the inspiration for Universal Engineering Corp. (www.universalcrusher.com) to engineer its revolutionary primary impactor - the Universal MaxCap Primary Impact Crusher. Representing a new generation of
primary impactors, the MaxCap Primary Impact is designed to increase profitability by reducing overall operating expenses.
"Universal Engineering's history of innovation means that we're always introducing the most durable, flexible and profitable equipment to the market," says Universal Engineering President and CEO Daniel Ferguson. "With the Universal MaxCap Primary Impact, we know that Universal will rewrite the book on primary impact crushing. We've designed - from scratch - exactly what the
industry's been looking for."
"We here at Universal Engineering are especially pleased that our new MaxCap Primary Impact offers the capacity of a New Holland style crusher with the ease of operation and maintenance of an Andreas style machine," explains Lou Winchip, Universal Engineering's chief engineer and lead designer of the MaxCap Primary Impact.
The MaxCap series of crushers boasts a hydraulically adjustable feed plate; interchangeable back and top wall castings; a hydraulically adjustable breaker plate that automatically maintains its position; a heavy duty disc style rotor with quick change hammers designed for maximum sustained productivity.
Universal Engineering notes that the standard design of the MaxCap Primary Impact features:
o Heavy-duty fabricated steel construction
o An upper section of the housing that retracts hydraulically for easy access to the interior of the impactor
o Hydraulically adjustable feed plate
o Hydraulically adjustable breaker plate with automatic positioning
o A fabricated disc-rotor assembly with quick release hammer locks
o A rotor lock pinned from crusher housing into rotor body
o Top loading, reversible, hammers with protruding leading edges
o Interchangeable abrasion-resistant alloy steel liners to protect the interior walls of the crushing chamber
o Large access doors on side and back of the crusher
The available optional equipment includes electric motor, jib crane, crusher sheave, drive guard, motor sheave, V-belts and feed chutes designed for specific applications.
"The MaxCap Primary Impact Crusher was designed with more in mind than just adding durability and versatility to primary crushing applications," notes Ferguson." Creating profitability for our customers was a chief concern for us at Universal Engineering. That's why the MaxCap Primary Impact comes in a
variety of dimensions and can ultimately crush up to 1400 short tons per hour. That's just one of the important reasons why the MaxCap Primary Impact: is the right choice for so many operations."
