Nicholson Announces New Universal Mount UMT-TD Thermodynamic Steam Trap

Nicholson Steam Trap of Walden, New York introduces the new Universal Mount UMT-TD Thermodynamic Steam Trap, the first rebuildable and thermally jacketed thermodyanmic steam trap that conforms to the two bolt universal swivel mount connection pattern. This innovative design reduces installation costs and allows the option of either replacing or repairing failed traps without having to break piping. Repair is easily completed by dropping in a standard Celtron Cartridge Kit. Replacement is as simple as removing two bolts. Both leave the connector block "in-line". The Nicholson UMT-TD fits other manufacturers' universal mount steam trap bodies for easy replacement of existing traps in the field.

Thermodynamic steam traps are known for distinct blast discharges and durability. In addition, the UMT-TD's thermal jacketing assures continuous operation, regardless of surrounding temperature or precipitation changes. The UMT-TD is available in 1/2", 3/4" and 1" with two orifice sizes and the universal connector block is optionally available with an integral Y strainer and blowdown valve in left or right hand configuration for removal of dirt and sediments in the system.
