ETS Upgrades The Model 406D Static Decay Meter

Electro-Tech Systems, Inc. of Glenside, PA is pleased to introduce the Model 406D Static Decay Meter. The Model 406D is an upgraded version of our 406 Series of Decay Meters which are the world standard for measurement of dissipative materials for commercial and military applications for the past 30 years.

The Model 406D is a two part system consisting of a Faraday Cage which houses the non-contacting sensor and sample holding electrodes, and the Control Unit which houses the power supply, analog meter readouts, timer circuitry and user controls. The Faraday Cage portion of the system is placed inside a controlled environmental chamber (such as the ETS Series 500 Chambers) along with the samples. Testing is performed after the appropriate conditioning period.

The Model 406D is designed to evaluate static sensitive material used for electronic component handling, packaging, cleanrooms, hospitals and hazardous locations where static charges need to be dissipated in a rapid and safe manner.

The Model 406D meets the test requirements for static charge dissipation as required by applicable DOD, NFPA and EIA test specifications. A wide variety of electrode configurations enable the dissipative characteristics of IC carriers, tote boxes, garments, tabletop and flooring material, storage
systems, etc. to be evaluated. The system may be used in both research & development and quality control applications to test material where static electricity can affect production, handling, performance or appearance.

Warranty is one year and the system is supplied with a Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST. Price: $10,295.00 USD.
