Stainless Steel Pressure Sensors withstand hostile media.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for use with corrosive liquids or gases, SPT Series sensors measure pressure of hostile media in harsh environments. They utilize piezoresistive semiconductor chip construction and oil filled housings. Able to handle any media that will not attack 304 or 316 stainless steel wetted parts, sensors are capable of measuring up to 5,000 psi. NEMA 4 rated sensors support gage, vacuum gage, and absolute pressure types.

Honeywell Introduces the SPT Series Low Cost Stainless Steel Pressure Sensors

Ideal for use with corrosive liquids or gases

FREEPORT, Ill., February 16, 2004 - Honeywell [NYSE: HON] Sensing and Control introduces the SPT Series of low cost stainless steel pressure sensors for pressure measurement of hostile media in harsh environments - such as corrosive liquids or gases. They can deal with any media that will not adversely attack 304 or 316 stainless steel wetted parts. Rugged and reliable, with models capable of measuring up to 5,000 psi and NEMA 4 ratings, these low-cost, high-value sensors are designed to handle a wide variety of applications. The SPT Series sensors support gage, vacuum gage, and absolute pressure types.

SPT Series features include:

o All stainless steel wetted parts compatible with a wide range of media

o Oil filled package for high accuracy and reliability

o Calibrated and temperature compensated versions with voltage mV and 4 mA to 20mA outputs.

o Wide range of pressure connections suitable for a variety of OEM applications.

o Customized versions available

The SPT Series are highly reliable pressure sensors using piezoresistive semiconductor chip construction and oil filled housings. They are well suited for flow control, pressure instrumentation, hydraulic systems and general process control applications.
