New Martensitic, All Position, Stainless Steel Electrodes from Select-Arc

Fort Loramie, OH - Select-Arc, Inc. has introduced two gas-shielded, flux cored, martensitic stainless steel electrodes that are designed for welding in all positions.
Select 410-AP (E410T1-1/4), which contains 12% chromium, is utilized to weld straight 410 stainless steel and features good corrosion and oxidation resistance up to 1200 degrees F. This electrode provides superb all position performance with low spatter and a self peeling slag that minimizes cleanup time. It produces flat, well washed beads that are achieved with minimal weaving. The weld deposit is air hardening and is normally heat-treated after welding.
Select 410NiMo-AP (E410NiMoT1-1/4) is composed of 12% chromium, 4.5% nickel and .60% molybdenum with a maximum carbon content of .06%. This wire offers very high welder appeal and delivers a fast freezing slag which facilitates welding in the vertical up and overhead positions. Select 410NiMo-AP is primarily used to weld ASTM CA6NM castings and certain 410, 410S and 405 stainless steels, usually for turbine blades and vanes in the power generation industry.
Select 410 and 410NiMo are available in .045" and 1/16" diameters.
