Stackpole's CSR / CSRN Series Offers Small Size and Reliable Performance that is Cost Effective

RALEIGH, NC - Stackpole Electronics offers a wide range of current sensing products. From high-volume and low-cost thick film chips, to high power and precision of the metal-based resistive elements, Stackpole has the right solution no matter what the application requires.

The CSR / CSRN Series is available in chip sizes from 2512 and 1225 down to 0201. As portable electronic devices become smaller and more integrated, the need for small size current sense resistors becomes extremely important. The CSRN 1/8S is an 0402 chip capable of resistance values down to 20 milliohms.

Because the CSR / CSRN Series uses similar materials and production processes as most standard thick film chip resistors, the price of this product is much lower than comparable metal element products. Metal element current sense resistors are typically 10-50 times the cost of a standard thick film chip resistor. In applications where TCR is less important, thick film current sense chips provide a significant cost savings over metal element products, making them an outstanding choice for a wide variety of high volume applications.

The CSR / CSRN Series offers resistance values as low as 10 milliohms with TCR's ranging from 100ppm to 600ppm depending on size and resistance value. They are available on standard 7 inch tape and reel with certain sizes and resistance values available in 1000 piece reels. Pricing varies with size, tolerance, and resistance value and ranges from $0.02 to $0.35 in full reel quantities. Contact Stackpole for volume pricing.
