Semiconductor manufacturers get more installation options from custom, build-to order 30mm tower stack light from Rockwell Automation
MILWAUKEE, July 11, 2005 - The new Control Tower Stack Light from Rockwell Automation offers manufacturers build-to-order flexibility and easy installation with a smaller, 30mm diameter size designed to help boost productivity and enhance operator safety in environments with more tightly clustered production cells, such as in semiconductor fabrication. The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 855D 30mm Control Tower Stack Light offers multiple mounting options and factory-built certifications to give users enhanced installation speed and wide application flexibility.
Rockwell Automation uses UL-approved wiring in the new Control Tower Stack Light, which is compliant with UL 508, EN/IEC 60947-5-1, cUL listed and CE marked. Additionally, the 855D Control Tower meets UL Type 4/4X/13, IP 65 ingress ratings making it suitable for a broad range of industrial environments.
In applications where an operator is only five to 20 feet away from a machine, many larger signaling products are too powerful for the close range and can damage an operator's sight and hearing. When operator intervention is still necessary in the manufacturing process, small signaling products are needed.
Because they are small in diameter, Rockwell Automation provides pre-assembled, pre-wired and factory-tested components to reduce the need for OEMs and end-users to complete special training or purchase unique tools. The 30mm Control Tower Stack Light retains its flexibility as a build-to-order component and functionality through multiple mounting options and ability to fulfill various applications.
The various mounting options with pre-wired bases can be applied to any customized stack light unit without additional modification to accommodate surface mounts, direct-to-conduit mounts, vertical side-of-machine mounts or wall mounts.
Additionally, the new stack light uses LED lights, which use less energy and last longer than incandescent bulbs. LED lights also are better-suited to withstand the harsh conditions of a plant environment due to their ability to resist shock, vibration and heat better than incandescent bulbs.
The stack light is available in a choice of six colors: green, red, amber, blue, clear and yellow; and any combination of up to five light and sound modules. Three bases can convert voltage from 24V AC/DC, 120V AC or 240V AC to power the 24V DC LED light and sound modules.
