SRI International and V.C.O.R.E to Demonstrate Integrated Sensing Solutions at ISC West 2012
MENLO PARK, Calif. - SRI International and V.C.O.R.E. (Virtual Command Operations & Response Environments) Solutions introduce Wild Cloud, a cloud-based regional situational awareness software tool that combines SIMON, SRI's proven standards-based middleware integration platform, with V.C.O.R.E.'s fourDscape®, a four-dimensional visualization platform. The technology will be showcased for the first time in booth 1069 at the International Security Conference (ISC) West in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 28 - 30.
The new Internet-enabled, browser-based platform is designed to increase visibility and situational awareness, reduce data overload, and enable users to receive, control, and deliver critical information. The platform can virtually connect strategic information to the overall situational landscape, tying available databases and sensors such as camera feeds, GPS, alarms, biometric sensors, chemical sensors, radars, and sonars. In addition, the platform can visualize the entire operational environment on one display in a command post or on a standard smart device or tablet.
SIMON is a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based software platform for facilitating rapid integration of technologies. It is the core software developed for a Maritime Domain Awareness System (MDAS) to demonstrate advanced sensing and situational awareness technologies for improved port security.
SIMON is a government off-the-shelf (GOTS) platform that may only be used on government projects at this time. It was developed by SRI's Marine Technology Program and Center for Software Engineering in St. Petersburg, FL.
MDAS is a tactical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system.
fourDscape® interactively visualizes massive amounts of available intelligence, surveillance, and infrastructure data into a single four-dimensional Common Operating Environment (COE) to achieve mission-critical automated situational awareness.
