Sprint 4G Lights Up Nashville

Sprint strikes a chord in Nashville and delivers high-speed mobile broadband to the Music City

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Starting today, Sprint (NYSE:S) 4G - the next generation in wireless service - is available to customers in Nashville. Sprint 4G enables fast mobile downloads, video chat and a range of innovative and useful wireless applications. So, a tourist in the Music City can do their best Hank Williams impression while videochatting via a Samsung Epic(TM) 4G with their die-hard country music friends in Houston. Or, visitors to Music Row can snap a photo of an attraction and use Google Goggles to pull up facts and historical data using visual search technology. Sprint 4G makes wireless applications run even better because the new service is up to 10 times faster than today's 3G speeds.1

Designed to meet a wide variety of needs and predilections, Android applications available on Sprint devices work exceptionally well on the new Sprint 4G network. For example, customers can download the Country Music Radio application to a Samsung Epic(TM) 4G or HTC EVO(TM) 4G smartphone and enjoy listening to country music radio stations from all over the world. Or, if in need of some Southern homestyle cooking around Nashville, 4G users can download OpenTable - good for finding a local restaurant, checking out menus, and even making a reservation. There is an application to meet just about everyone's unique tastes.

"Since 2008, Sprint has provided customers 4G service," said Matt Carter, president of Sprint 4G. "Today, 4G is operating in more than 50 cities across the country and everyday we hear about new and creative ways that customers are putting 4G to use in their daily lives. People in Nashville are invited to try the service and see what the latest generation of mobile broadband is really like."

To demonstrate the confidence that Sprint has in the power of 4G, Sprint offers the Sprint Free Guarantee, which allows customers to try 4G for 30 days. If they are not satisfied, they can cancel service and have the opportunity to be fully reimbursed.2 Sprint also offers simplicity and savings vs. competitors with Everything Data plans, which include unlimited Web, texting and calling to any mobile in America while on the Sprint network for one low price. The Nashville 4G coverage area includes the downtown area, Belle Meade, Lakewood, Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Forest Hills, Brentwood and parts of Oak Hill and Berry Hill.

With today's launch, Sprint 4G is available in 52 markets: California - Merced, Modesto, Stockton, Visalia; Delaware - Wilmington; Florida - Daytona Beach, Jacksonville; Georgia - Atlanta, Milledgeville; Hawaii - Honolulu, Maui; Idaho - Boise; Illinois - Chicago; Maryland - Baltimore; Massachusetts - Boston; Michigan - Grand Rapids; Missouri - Kansas City, St. Louis; New York - Rochester, Syracuse; Nevada - Las Vegas; North Carolina - Charlotte, Greensboro (includes High Point and Winston-Salem), Raleigh (includes Cary, Chapel Hill and Durham); Oregon - Eugene, Portland, Salem; Pennsylvania - Harrisburg, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Reading, York; Rhode Island - Providence; Tennessee - Nashville; Texas - Abilene, Amarillo, Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Killeen/Temple, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, San Antonio, Waco, Wichita Falls; Utah - Salt Lake City; Virginia - Richmond; and Washington - Bellingham, Seattle, Tri-Cities, Yakima.
