Binks Announces Next Generation Pogo Pump for Maximized Reliability, Productivity

April, 2004, Glendale Heights, IL - Binks announces the next generation in spray finishing pump technology: the Pogo Plus, that builds on the Bink's original drum transfer Pogo pump to offer unparalleled reliability features.

The Pogo Plus pump incorporates several new features designed to ensure continuous high volume delivery of low to medium viscosity coatings and adhesives, including:

· New 2" air motor with "unbalanced valve" design for virtually unstallable operation
· Contained leak path that prevents material build-up on the drum
· Upper ball check for more reliable transfer than flat check
· Improved energized upper "U" cup that provides longer life with less leakage
· Divorced design for easy maintenance and prevention of material migration into the motor

With the Pogo Plus pump, Binks continues to lead the technological advancement of pump design and promote new methods of ensuring the most reliable and efficient transfer of coatings and adhesives.

The Pogo Plus pump is available in stainless steel or carbon steel, offering a selection compatible with a wide variety of materials, including water or solvent borne paints and adhesives. The two-ball design provides better priming of the foot-valve, and double-acting pumps deliver material on both the up and down stroke.

The Pogo Plus pump is well-suited for markets and applications such as wood cabinets, countertops, furniture upholstery, truck and bus, laminates use for adhesives, and marine, boat, tub and shower use for fluid transfer. It also supports HVAC use for applying adhesive inside ducts, foam insulation use for solvent supply for 2K equipment, and for general industry use for single gun paint supply.

Binks pioneered the development of liquid spray finishing technology over 100 years ago and continues to set the standards for industrial spray finishing.
