Fomo Products, Inc. Offers Spray Foam Solution for Tough Roofing Applications

Part of the Handi-Foam® spray foam product line, SPF Roof Patch seals the deal

NORTON, Ohio - August 25, 2008 - Heavy equipment, scattered tools and messy applications; these are just a few impediments to a typical roof patching job. To help avoid these and others, Fomo Products, Inc. has introduced Handi-Foam® SPF Roof Patch, a two-component spray foam designed to patch and repair polyurethane roofs.

As an industry-leading solution for the commercial roofing market, Handi-Foam SPF Roof Patch offers higher compression strength and an R-value of 6.1 per inch, retaining insulation value and meeting commercial roofing codes for compression strength of polyurethane foam roofs.

"Handi-Foam SPF Roof Patch was developed for applications where higher compression strength is required and our product's impeccable R-value is the standing defining quality when compared to other roof patch products," said Sara Jonas, marketing manager at Fomo Products. "Handi-Foam SPF Roof Patch saves time and money so contractors, distributors and building maintenance crews can get the job done right the first time."

SPF Roof Patch effectively maintains a seamless, monolithic seal preventing air or moisture infiltration, also making it ideal for maintenance and repair work on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. It is offered in a portable kit that also includes Fomo's patented Handi-Gun® for an easy, controlled spray and can be used in sealing around faulty flashings, vents or equipment, as well as sealing pin holes in polyurethane roofs. The closed cell foam adheres to most building materials and can also be used to build up low lying areas where water pools and to repair cracks and blisters.

The new product's quick, tack-free cure time of 30 to 45 seconds ensures less time spent on the roof for added safety and a reduction in labor and cost. The 2.5 pound density foam can yield as much as 425 board feet, depending on the kit.

"The introduction of Handi-Foam SPF Roof Patch really fills a current void in the roofing industry," Jonas said. "The greatest advantage of our product compared to others is convenience and portability. Handi-Foam SPF Roof Patch is a disposable, two-component kit allowing for a much smoother, faster application process even for those tough, hard-to-reach applications."
