Dual unwind shafts for supply rolls are located at bottom of machine, and 36 in. length allows placement in space-restricted areas. Able to accommodate 2 full 14 in. dia rolls, machine also employs Splice-at-any-speed System to ensure that change in line speed during splice will not affect registration of preprinted materials.

New Compact Version of CTC's "Clamshell" Series Splicers

West Caldwell, NJ: CTC International introduces a smaller version of its Popular CS1224 "Clamshell" Splicer, engineered for non-stop Packaging and Converting applications.

This smaller version is designated the CS1214 Splicer, and is only 36" long, allowing it to fit in the most compact areas. Despite its small size, it can accommodate (2) Full 14" diameter rolls.

The Splicer features CTC's unique Clamshell Splicer mechanism which opens 90 degrees into a horizontal plane providing a flat work table on which to easier prep the splice.

The two unwind shafts for the supply rolls are located at the bottom of the machine close to the floor minimizing material handling during roll loading

The Splicer also features CTC's unique "Splice at any speed" System, which guarantees that a change in line speed during the splice will not affect the registration of preprinted materials.

The Splicer is equipped standard with an Allen Bradley Microligix PLC, and other brands are available to suit customer needs.

Options include: Splice in Register, Ethernet Interface, Heat Seal Splicing, Wash Down or Wipe down construction, and CE, UL or CSA Compliance. The machine is customizable for a variety of roll and core sizes and varying line speeds.
