Spin Coat Systems coat materials on planar substrates.

Press Release Summary:

Spincoat G3 Series incorporates microprocessor-based, closed loop servomotor control for speed regulation. Units include 8, 12, and 15 in. bowl models in 3 enclosure sizes. Eight in. model is available in non-programmable and programmable versions, while 12 and 15 in. models are available as programmable units only. Programmable units can store and execute 30 programs having up to 20 individual steps each, and are controllable in 1.0 rotation increments and 0.1 sec timing increments.

Next Generation Spincoat System Offers Precision and Program Flexibility

(Indianapolis, IN - September 9, 2002) A new generation of spincoat systems has been introduced by Specialty Coating Systems. These units accurately coat materials on planar substrates, including photoresists, polyamides, metallo-organics, dopants and silica films. The SCS Spincoat G3 Series sets a new standard in operating precision and programming
sophistication.

"The latest SCS spin coat systems offer a higher level of speed control and repeatability, as well as precise acceleration and deceleration control," said Patrick Sullivan, SCS Equipment Product Manager. "The new design incorporates microprocessor-based, closed loop servomotor control for precise speed regulation. These units also feature faster and easier programming."

The SCS Spincoat G3 Series includes eight, twelve and fifteen-inch bowl models in three compact enclosure sizes. The eight-inch model is available in both non-programmable and
programmable versions while the twelve and fifteen-inch models are available as programmable units only. All models feature safety-interlocked covers, and the programmable units incorporate
provision for external control via a communication port.

"SCS programmable spincoat units can store and execute thirty programs having up to twenty individual steps each, and are controllable in 1.0 rotation increments and 0.1 second timing
increments," Sullivan, explains.

The SCS spin coaters meet NFPA and CE standards, and operate on 120/220VAC, 50/60 Hz power. Non-programmable units include a Teflon coated bowl while programmable units include a Teflon coated bowl with drain. Interface software for external PC program control is optionally available for ease of program storage and diagnostics, among other things.
