SPDT Switch IC measures 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.37 mm.

Press Release Summary:

Housed in RoHS-compliant 6-pin T6R package, Model UPG2159T6R GaAs SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) Switch IC can be used in place of chips in size-constrained applications such as low-profile RF cards/modules designing and Tx/Rx antenna diversity switching. It features frequency range of 0.5-3.0 GHz, supply voltage of 1.8-5.3/0 V (2.7 V typ), insertion loss of 0.23 dB at 2.0 GHz, isolation of 27 dB at 2.0 GHz, and input P0.1 dB of +22 dBm at 2.7 V and +15.5 dBm at 1.8 V.

Original Press Release:

High Performance, Super-Thin SPDT Switch IC Offer an Alternative to Chips for Low-Profile RF Cards and Modules

Santa Clara, CA - June 17, 2008 - CEL has good news for designers of modules and PCM cards for Mobilecomm, Bluetooth, Short Range Wireless, and Ultra Wideband. NEC's new UPG2159T6R GaAs SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) Switch IC is so small and thin, it can be used in place of chips in these size-constrained applications. Housed in NEC's new RoHS-compliant 6-pin T6R package, the UPG2159T6R measures just 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.37mm in height.

Ideal for Tx/Rx antenna diversity switching, its key features include:
Frequency: 0.5 to 3.0 GHz
Supply Voltage: 1.8 to 5.3/0 V (2.7V typ)
Insertion Loss: 0.23 dB @ 2.0 GHz
Isolation: 27 dB @ 2.0 GHz
Input P0.1dB: +22 dBm @ 2.7V
+15.5 dBm @ 1.8V

The UPG2159T6R is in stock and available now from California Eastern Laboratories. To help speed circuit design, evaluation boards are also available through CEL's network of sales offices or from Mouser Electronics.
