Original Press Release:

New SPDT Switch for Dual Band WiFi and UWB Applications Features Industry's Smallest Package

Santa Clara, CA - June 17, 2008 - Here's good news for engineers searching for ways to improve the performance while reducing the size of their dual-band WiFi and UWB designs. NEC's UPG2185T6R SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) GaAs MMIC Switch delivers extremely low insertion loss with high isolation over the 2.4 to 6.0 GHz frequency ranges. Better yet, it's housed in a super-miniature 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.37 mm 6 pin package that's currently the industry's smallest.

Typical specifications include:
Operating Frequency: 2.4 to 6.0 GHz
Control Voltage: +3.0/0 V
Insertion Loss: 0.40 dB @ 2.5 GHz
0.50 dB @ 6.0 GHz
Isolation: 26 dB @ 2.5 GHz
25 dB @ 6.0 GHz
P0.1dB: +29 dBm @ Vcont = +3.0 V
P1dB: +30.5 dBm @ Vcont = +3.0 V
