With current consumption of 8.5 mA, Model 1133 measures sound pressure level between 50-100 dB in input frequency range of 100 Hz to 8 kHz. Typical examples of sounds that can be measured include calm breathing, normal conversation at 1 m away, passenger car 10 m away, traffic on busy road 10 m away, and jack hammer 1 m away. Phidgets Releases a New Sensor that Measures Sound.
The 1131 - Sound Sensor detects sound intensity from as low as a person talking to the noise made by a Jackhammer 1 meter away.
CALGARY, Alberta, - Phidgets Inc. released today the 1133 - Sound Sensor that measures the presence and loudness of sound. The sensor measures sound pressure level (SPL) between 50db to 100dB in the input frequency range of 100Hz to 8kHz.
"The Sound Sensor is another example of the our efforts to give our users a wide assorment of sensors allowing them to monitor their environment", said Bernard Rousseau, Director of Marketing.
