SonicWALL Honored with a Tech Innovator Award in the Security Category by CMP Channel's VARBusiness

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 9 - SonicWALL, Inc. (NASDAQ:SNWL) today announced that its TZ 190 Wireless appliance has received CMP Channel's VARBusiness 2007 Tech Innovator Award in the security category. The fifth annual Tech Innovators Awards celebrate the most innovative products, people and personalities in the industry and highlight emerging products and technologies currently sold through the IT Channel.

The TZ 190 Wireless appliance, built on SonicWALL's deep packet protection technology, enables organizations to establish secure 3G wireless broadband access in any location by simply inserting a SonicWALL approved wireless PC card in the PC card slot. Organizations can use this appliance to rapidly establish high speed networks for seasonal kiosks, mobile point-of-sale stations, portable ATM machines, disaster recovery networks and more. The TZ 190 Wireless incorporates all the ease of use and manageability of SonicWALL's popular TZ Series technology together with full Unified Threat Management capabilities. It can be remotely managed via a Web interface, or using SonicWALL's Global Management System.

"We are very pleased that our TZ 190 Wireless appliance has been recognized as an innovation that will help our channel grow," said Marvin Blough, Vice President of Americas Sales for SonicWALL. "It was designed to give our channel partners the ability to open new revenue streams by using 3G wireless to create secure networks in completely new areas. We are honored to receive this award."

"Innovation is truly the heart of the technology industry, and the winners of this year's VARBusiness Tech Innovator Awards have taken innovation to the next level," said Robert C. DeMarzo, vice president and editorial director, CMP Channel. "We congratulate each and every one of this year's Tech Innovator Award winners."

The Tech Innovator awards were awarded in the following categories: Managed Services; Voice over IP; Virtualization; Storage; Wireless; Servers; PCs/Workstations; Handhelds; Portable PCs; Display/Projection; Connectivity/Data Networking; Security; Printing & Imaging; Business Software: Enterprise Applications and Infrastructure; and Business Software: SMB Applications and Infrastructure.

For each category, at least two judges from a select group of top solution providers and integrators rated each entry on characteristics such as usefulness, the "new and improved" factor, price/performance, revenue potential and overall "coolness." The process leads to three VARBusiness Tech Innovator finalists for each category, with the top scoring product in each category earning the VARBusiness tech Innovator award.

The awards were presented last night at the XChange Tech Innovators conference in Miami, Florida. The XChange conference brings together more than 130 of the channel's most unique, forward thinking integrators with the objective of helping them identify and consider alternative technologies and companies to do business with. Event highlights included, educational Sessions conducted by senior editors and analysts of CRN and VARBusiness, World Premieres and networking opportunities presented throughout the event.
