Crydom Introduces New Solid-State Relays That Reduce Heat Sink Requirements
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 6, 2003)-Crydom Corporation announces the availability of the new CW24 and CW48 Series of Solid State Relays (SSR). The new series offers high thermal ratings with reduced power dissipation. This reduces the heat sink requirements while providing optimum performance.
The new SSR series also provide integrated, removable finger-proof covers, LED status indication and user-friendly universal connectors.
Complementing their industry leading Series-1 solid-state relays, Crydom's new family of SSRs offer high power AC-Output switching capabilities. Utilizing the same footprint as the Series-1 SSRs, they are easily incorporated into existing designs that will allow for a small increase in depth for the removable finger-proof cover.
Offered in steady-state current ratings of 10, 25, 50, 90, and 125Arms, they have high surge ratings in the rugged, industry-preferred, silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR), AC-switch output configuration.
The steady-state/surge-current ratings make them attractive for many demanding applications in the heating, motor control, uninterruptible power systems (UPS), ventilating, air-conditioning, computer, peripherals, power management, food service equipment, medical electronics and printing industries.
The 1,200Vpk blocking rating of the Series CW48 makes it ideal for high voltage applications, providing OEMs with worldwide market potential for their equipment in countries with standard operating voltages up to 600Vrms. With its 600Vpk blocking rating, Series CW24 is ideal for use in 120/240Vac applications.
