American Bright has expanded and improved their innovative solid state replacement lamp capable of replacing inefficient florescent tubes in grocery retailers world-wide.
Chino, Ca. - American Bright Lighting, Inc. today announced its new patent pending, second-generation SimpleTube LED replacement lamps capable of replacing inefficient T-8 fluorescent tubes in large-scale retail refrigerators and freezers. The Improved series offers up to 79% power savings over the commonly used fluorescent tube ballast combinations and, due to lower heat emissions, reduces strain and demand on refrigeration compressors and controls. The series is the industry's most efficient, consuming as much as 50% less power than comparable LED units from other manufacturers. Additional benefits of the second-generation SimpleTube lamps are longer lifetimes, lower maintenance costs, comprehensive five-year warranty, and significantly better lumen maintenance over the service life.
Independent laboratory testing performed to LM79 confirms an efficacy of up to 61 lumens per watt. The total efficacy of the SimpleTube is nearly twice the efficacy of the other solid state lighting products commercially available for similar applications. SimpleTubes are UL listed, assuring compliance will internationally recognized safety standards, and they are offered in ANSI color bins. The color quality and consistency enhances product appearance and will not degrade appreciably over the 50,000+ hour projected life of the product. The simple tube is available with a number of output angles and lens options, both clear and frosted, to meet the most demanding applications.
American Bright Lighting has also introduced a THD (total harmonic distortion) correction version that complies with emerging regulations and proposed Department of Energy (DOE) specifications. This patent pending feature assures end users of compliance with existing and future regulations regarding the use of AC based LED systems. AC bases LED systems eliminate the need for AC to DC power conversion and secondary driver systems that historically are the "weak link" in other solid state lighting solutions. This innovation keeps the SimpleTube product family ahead of all competing LED products.
Unlike fluorescent lamps which contain significant amounts of mercury and in various areas must be disposed of as hazardous waste via a fluorescent recycling firm, SimpleTube lamps are 100% RoHS compliant, meeting the most stringent global standards for toxin-free materials and manufacturing processes.
