Parker Fluid Control Division Introduces Redesigned Line of Refrigeration Solenoid Valves

NEW BRITAIN, CT/March 31, 2003 - Parker Fluid Control Division, purveyors of the Skinner(TM), Gold Ring(TM), Lucifer, Sinclair Collins(TM), and Scem lines of solenoid and process control valves, introduces a newly designed line of refrigeration and air conditioning solenoid valves.

This new line builds upon the durability and long life of Parker's well-known industrial solenoid valve design and technology with new benefits designed to meet the evolving needs of the refrigeration and air conditioning industries. The new line efficiently meets higher-pressure ratings of up to 450 psi required by new, "green" refrigerants, as well as application demands from fractional tonnage to 1 ¼" orifice sizes. All valves are equipped with Parker's unique manual bypass design with positive locking feature that is operated with a single 90 degree or 180 degree stem turn, ensuring full flow capability. They also offer smaller, lightweight design; effortless manual stem operation; and multi-position functionality for ease of operation. Further, improved molded coils allow enhanced, watertight performance in any environment.

Like all of Parker's valves, the new refrigeration line offers superior endurance and long life. The company's signature laser-welded sleeve and patented orifice and plunger designs, part of the company's CoreCompetence continuous innovation program, ensure that the valves maintain leak-free sealing over a wide temperature range as well as performing for millions of cycles.

A division of the Parker Hannifim Corporation, Parker Fluid Control Division is a global leader in the production of solenoid and process control. Based in New Britain, Connecticut, the division also has manufacturing facilities in Madison, Mississippi and Akron, Ohio, as well as a worldwide network of distributors. With its earliest predecessor dating back to 1885, the company currently offers the Skinner, Gold Ring, Jackes-Evans, Lucifer, Sinclair Collins, and Scem lines of valves.
