Parker Fluid Control Division Offers Solenoid Valves for Car Care Industry Applications



NEW BRITAIN, CT/May 9, 2005 Parker Fluid Control Division, manufacturers of the Skinner and Gold Ring lines of solenoid valves and the Sinclair Collins line of process control valves, now offers a line of solenoid valves designed for the car care industry's demanding applications, including: presoak, soap dispensing, water purification, water softening, hot waxes, spot-free rinsing, blowers and driers, and high-pressure applications.

The Car Care Solenoid Valve line is available either fully assembled or as modular components. Mixing and matching among the variety of pressure vessels and coils available offers extensive application flexibility. The line includes two-, three-, and four-way, normally-open and normally-closed models with brass or stainless steel construction, a variety of available seal and disc materials, and orifice and port sizes ranging from 1/8 through 2 . Coils are epoxy-encapsulated for safety from the environmental exposures present in the car care market and safety.

Three- and four-way models can be used to provide pneumatic cylinder control of brushes, mitters and tire scrubbing assemblies. Multiple unit manifold assemblies are also available for on-off control of water, air, and chemicals, as well as compressed air service. Also, optional metering models can be used for dispensing chemicals or for slow closure to prevent water hammer effects.
