Humphrey Introduces 315/415 Series Direct-Acting Solenoid Valves with Patent-Pending Sealing Concept
Humphrey Products Company has introduced the 315/415 Series direct-acting solenoid valves incorporating a patent-pending pneumatic poppet valve sealing concept. The new valves feature a lip seal design that utilizes air pressure within the valve to assist the spring in creating a tight seal. This concept made it possible to increase the flow rate to 0.42 Cv -- 35% higher than conventional poppet valves with similar dimensions -- yet keep the body just 19mm wide.
The new Humphrey 315/415 Series valves feature 1/8" NPT ports, 0.42 Cv flow rate, operating pressure range of 28"Hg to 125 psig, 5-watt coil with 12 and 24 VDC and 120 VAC voltage options, and a NEMA 4 rating. The 315 Series valves are multi-purpose 3-way valves and the 415 Series valves are five port 4-way valves available with an optional Sandwich Speed Control that mounts between the valve and the manifold. The valves have a common body designed for both inline and manifold mounting.
The Humphrey 315/415 Series valves are the newest additions to the family of 300/400 Series products. The valves offer a mid-range flow rate between the 310/410 Series valves and the 320/420 Series valves.
