Normally-Open Solenoid Valve for Liquid Processes
Summary: Plast-O-Matic Valves, Inc. announces availability of a "normally-open" solenoid valve for processes requiring continuous flow for cooling or other process safety. Unlike the majority of solenoid valves, the normally-open design closes when it is switched "on." The valves are built in a variety of thermoplastics and feature a water and dust-tight enclosure to withstand airborne corrosion.
Cedar Grove, New Jersey: Plast-O-Matic Valves, Inc., announces the addition of a normally-open solenoid valve for applications in which it would be dangerous for valves to close or remain closed in the event of a power failure.
In applications that require continuous flow for cooling or other critical applications, Series EASY-NO remains in the open position when it is de-energized. They also offer energy and cost savings considerations for applications that require a valve to be open most of the time, and only closed for periodic system maintenance or similar needs.
Constructed of corrosion-resistant thermoplastics with no wetted metals, the valves can be used for corrosive or ultra-pure liquids, and handle pressure, drain, or vacuum applications. They are direct acting and do not require line pressure to aid in closing or opening. The electrical coil and DIN connector are rated NEMA 4X for harsh environments.
Available in 1/4" and 1/2" pipe sizes, the normally-open valve is rated for one million cycles.
