Sola/Hevi-Duty High Efficiency Transformers Meet NEMA TP-1 Standards, Provide Lower Lifetime Cost of Ownership

ROSEMONT, IL, August 8, 2006 - Sola/Hevi-Duty, a global supplier of power quality solutions, is helping companies meet the strict energy requirements of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 with E versions of its low voltage, general-purpose transformers.

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 stipulates that low-voltage dry-type transformers manufactured after January 1, 2007 must meet NEMA TP-1 standards, incorporated into the Act's regulations.

Sola/Hevi-Duty's E version transformers are optimized to meet NEMA TP-1 limits for load losses calculated to 35% of the name plate rating, yet are the same compact size as its conventional 150° C rise units to conserve valuable floor space. Plus, with operating costs substantially reduced, companies will save more each year over the transformer's service life.

Perfect for routine use in power applications, including in heavy harmonic loads created by copiers, printers or computers, the transformers are available in single phase from 15 KVA to 167 KVA, and three phase voltages from 15 KVA to 500 KVA.
