Innovates with PCL6 Parser, enhanced PDF/A generator for ECM Archiving, E-Statement and Print Applications
TORONTO, Nov. 27 -- Xenos Group Inc. (TSX: XNS) announced today the release of Xenos d2e Vision(TM) v3.0 for transforming print documents into electronic formats. Designed for rapid and seamless integration with e-Business applications, version 3.0 includes a new PCL parser supporting the PCL 6/XL format, an enhanced PDF/A generator and numerous new features and performance-increasing enhancements.
Xenos continues to innovate with new and enhanced capabilities in Xenos d2e Vision, written 100% in Java, to meet the business and technical requirements of our industry-leading customers and partners.
New Features in Xenos d2e Vision Version 3.0 include:
- New PCL Parser: Transforms PCL printed output for desktop or production printers to other viewing and print formats. Supports PCL6/XL.
- Enhanced Barcode Support in AFP Parser: Enhanced barcode capabilities to existing support added to AFP Parser in version 2.1 for all the major barcode (BCOCA) formats including 2D-Matrix.
- PDF/A Font Subsetting: The PDF/A generator, released in September 2006, has been enhanced to support the subsetting of embedded fonts to minimize storage requirements for long-term archiving. Subsetting reduces the file size of the generated PDF/A file by only including the characters of a font that are actually used in the document.
- PDF Generator Fonts: Further enhanced Font Mapping capabilities to enable dynamic inter-character adjustment, further increasing the fidelity of generated PDF documents.
- Double-Byte Character Support: Further enhanced existing industry-leading double-byte character support with support for Japanese double-byte raster character sets and Chinese character sets within PCL documents for transformation.
- AFP Generator Enhancements: Anamorphic images support added for AFP IOCA objects. Added AFP font generation from TrueType fonts. Enhanced TLE placement and generation capabilities. Compression added for Page Segment resources generated.
- Image Conversion: Added the conversion of grayscale images in PDF to the AFP RGB standard for AFP generation.
- Performance Enhancements: Improved existing highly scalable performance capabilities.
