SYNOPSIS: Sybase, Inc. announces DataWindow .NET 2.0, a component to simplify application development for the Microsoft .NET Framework-based developer community, taking data-driven application development from complex to virtually code-less.
DUBLIN, Calif., April 3 -- Sybase, Inc. (NYSE:SY), a leading provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software, today unveiled Sybase DataWindow .NET(TM) 2.0, a powerful development tool for Microsoft(R) .NET Framework-based environments that simplifies and accelerates the creation of data-driven applications. This new release delivers support for the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, demonstrating Sybase's continued commitment to the development and delivery of next-generation tooling needs to .NET Framework-based developers. New Features and Benefits of DataWindow .NET 2.0
DataWindow .NET 2.0 delivers support for Microsoft standards as well as new core functionality. In addition to supporting the .NET Framework 2.0, developers can now build DataWindows directly from Microsoft standard DataSets and DataTables. New properties and functionality, including autosize height on all parts of a DataWindow, give customers more control and flexibility over their reports. As well, a new presentation style, the TreeView, is now available for easily presenting hierarchical data. Other features and benefits include:
