Breakthrough Software Technology Finds Hidden Patterns in Text Data

March 10, 2004, Jacksonville, Florida: Breakthrough software technology now makes it possible to analyze and organize large amounts of text data, called unstructured data, and to capture patterns, trends and correlation's in this data in ways never before possible.

Intelligenxia, Inc., Jacksonville, Florida, has developed software products that automatically extract concepts from "unstructured" data -- such as e-mail, web sites, text documents and spreadsheets -- based on the meaning of the text.

Businesses and government agencies are being inundated with unstructured text data which may contain valuable information but which has previously been, in many cases, humanly impossible to analyze. Existing products have attempted to unlock knowledge embedded in this data by using key words to search the data and then repeatedly trying to guess at what else might be present. Intelligenxia has developed a solution involving Artificial Intelligence that is capable of analyzing and categorizing critical information to uncover hidden facts, trends, and relationships.

As explained by Intelligenxia founder and CEO Ren Mohan: "Intelligenxia's data analytics software will help analyze unstructured text data even if the users are unclear what they want from the information, and extracts only relevant facts from large volumes of text."

This new software technology also allows users to analyze information in many different ways, providing a multidimensional look at the data. This allows a user to identify new conclusions from data that previously would not have been visible. Other products have attempted to meet this need, but they provide a limited capability search.

According to Charles A. Clarkson, the company chairman of the board, "Intelligenxia software can intelligently extract concepts pertinent to a very large group of documents, which can't be done with other programs. This leads to better, more accurate search results in a shorter amount of time, as well as the ability to analyze unstructured data in ways that were never before possible. It lets the text do the talking."

Neal Anderson, Intelligenxia COO and vice president of sales and marketing, believes that "The multitude of applications for business and government are very exciting with high ROIs. A few of the current markets include government intelligence, customer and market analytics, health care research, and insurance fraud."

Prospective clients are starting to take notice, Anderson says: "Recent Intelligenxia agreements with Johnson Controls, Bank of America, and the University of Miami are indicative of the breadth of this very important leading edge solution."
