RR Donnelley Expands Soft-Proofing Offerings with ShareStream® Elements
Premedia Technologies' Latest Release of ShareStream(R) Soft-Proofing Technology Moves Upstream to Support Creative Design Process
CHICAGO, Aug. 21 -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company (NYSE:RRD) today announced ShareStream(R) Elements, a major new addition to its proven ShareStream soft-proofing and collaboration platform. ShareStream Elements brings the power of routing, approval and collaborative workflow to the creative process. As an integrated component of the MediaCompass(TM) suite of online tools from RR Donnelley Premedia Technologies, ShareStream Elements works in concert with ShareStream PRO's color-critical online soft-proofing capabilities to create a comprehensive design-to-print collaboration workflow for customers.

Among the new capabilities of ShareStream Elements is full access to the Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) Pro annotation and collaboration toolset within MediaCompass workflows. "Customers are familiar with the power and sophistication of the Adobe Acrobat technology," continued Sarkar, "But many struggled with creating a framework for effective routing and approval workflows. E-mail is not a workflow tool." ShareStream Elements provides a central, secure internet-accessible portal for the management, routing and approval of graphic content.
