Hyperwave Launches eConferencing Suite

Powerful new information suite combines e-conferencing, collaboration, and knowledge management into a virtual conference center

Westford, Mass. - February 26, 2003 -- Hyperwave, a leading supplier of collaborative knowledge management and e-learning software, today announced its new eConferencing Suite at CeBIT 2003 (Hall 6, Stand G38), Hanover, Germany. The new eConferencing Suite combines all the functions of a convenient conferencing module for direct and synchronous Internet-based communication with additional collaboration and knowledge management functionality.

A web-based application, the e-conferencing tool enhances enterprise-wide collaboration and knowledge management by collecting and storing conference content in the Hyperwave databank. This data can be retrieved at any time by the Save and Replay function, which locates and plays back the desired information through metadata.

Customers and partner companies benefit from virtual conferencing by reducing the co-ordination processes between customer and company, saving costs and time. Teams are able to work more cohesively as information can be shared with teams from other fields and departments quickly and in various formats such as audio, video, chat and virtual whiteboards. Integrated audio and video functions mean opinions can be expressed simultaneously and through text-based chat, team members can meet to brainstorm ideas - shortening the communication and decision channels considerably.

Christoph Michel, Hyperwave CEO commented "The eConferencing Suite is an effective and uncomplicated organizational tool for an unlimited number of users. Meeting dates can be coordinated quickly and without hassle in any location. The daily flow of information is vastly improved, particularly in the case of distributed teams. By enhancing virtual conferencing with extended collaboration tools, teams and groups across the corporate enterprise will see a dramatic improvement in how they exchange information."

The eConferencing Suite can be integrated in all Hyperwave Business Solutions. Existing applications are supplemented by online collaborative functions and performance is expanded to include real-time communication without having to give up the familiar web interface or install a client application. As with all Hyperwave applications, the eConferencing Suite is based on the IS/6 platform, and can be integrated in existing software solutions easily.
