Integra5 Unveils i-Inform Application Suite Featuring Personalized Web Content, Targeted CRM and Interactive Advertising Delivered in Real Time to TVs and PCs

Pre-Packaged, XML-Based Applications Complement Integra5's Leading Converged Communications Applications and Expand its I5 Converged Service Delivery Platform

BURLINGTON, Mass., July 17 -- Integra5, the pioneer in enabling service providers to blend quad-play bundles into converged services for simultaneous delivery across TVs and PCs, today introduced the i-Inform application suite. Powered by the award-winning i5 Converged Service Delivery Platform (i5 C-SDP), i-Inform applications leverage web services technology, RSS functionality and IMS/SIP architectures to deliver innovative applications featuring personalized web content and interactive advertising in real time to multiple TVs and PCs.

Based on deployments of Integra5's i-Communicate applications like TV Caller ID, service providers who offer converged services through the i5 C-SDP experience significant, quantifiable benefits, including increased revenue, decreased churn, greater customer value and competitive differentiation.

"With intense competition from rival service providers, we rely on converged applications like Integra5's TV Caller ID to attract and retain profitable subscribers. Since deploying Integra5's C-SDP in 2005, our average revenue per user has increased significantly," said Ed Heuck, CTO, Hargray Communications. "The i-Inform application suite provides a wide variety of unique, IP-based services that will further enhance our current service offerings and drive revenue across our voice, video, data and wireless businesses."

"Service providers are now in an environment where they must be able to respond quickly to the market and to manage a much larger portfolio of services," stated Bob Larribeau, Director IP TV Program, Multimedia Research Group. "Service delivery platforms have emerged as a key technology that can accomplish this and allow network operators to reduce the time and resources to introduce new services."

The i5 C-SDP is a platform that puts the intelligence at the edge of the network, enabling and managing the delivery of converged services to the home without requiring an advanced set-top box. i-Inform applications that work out of the box with the i5 C-SDP include:

o i-Inform Care -- Alerts subscribers in real time about important service provider events and new products.
o Broadcast CRM Messaging -- Notify groups of subscribers regarding planned service upgrades, new programming and reduce calls to the call center.
o Targeted CRM Messaging -- Customize messages according to subscriber profiles.

o i-Inform Target -- Gives subscribers highly personalized information they choose to receive, such as personalized news, sports, weather and specific product information, on the devices they select.
o TV and PC Content Alerts -- Opt-in to receive content on the topics that interest them.
o Targeted Advertising -- Opt-in for advertising information tailored to their local area and interests.

o i-Inform Act -- Adds interactivity and commerce to information alerts and advertisements.
o Channel Telescoping -- Click to opt-in for notification of specific RSS newsfeeds and then switch to that programming channel with a click of the remote.
o Click-to-Call -- Click on an advertisement to contact the advertiser direct via phone from any TV or PC.
o Interactive Advertising -- Turn local ads into interactive ads, tuning to Dedicated Advertiser Location (DAL). Synchronize with local video feed.

"Simple bundled services are quickly becoming ubiquitous, and a predominant service provider strategy is deploying them at the lowest possible price to attract and retain subscribers," said Deepa Iyer, research analyst with Parks Associates. "However, the real key to customer loyalty is the creation of a unique subscriber experience with interactive and converged communication services that are personalized and targeted." A recent Parks Associates study reports that satisfied broadband bundled-service subscribers are less price-sensitive and willing to pay 11 percent more for their dual- play services than the overall average.

The i5 C-SDP enables service providers to quickly deliver converged communications and content to any IP device, including TVs and PCs, using i5 or third-party applications. Its standards-based, distributed architecture has the processing performance required for real-time delivery and management of signals and information between data, telephone (public switched and IP), cable TV (traditional and IPTV) and cellular networks. This new i-Inform application suite complements the i-Communicate suite, which enables subscribers to receive and respond to communications and messaging content on their TVs and PCs, including Picture Caller ID, call history, new landline or wireless voicemails, e-mails and faxes.

"Competitive differentiation has moved beyond simple, cost-driven bundles of independent services and is now focused on service innovation using personalized, cross-platform applications," said Meredith Flynn-Ripley, chief operating officer, Integra5. "The i-Inform application suite represents the next generation of quad-play offerings, enabling service providers to quickly and easily deliver advanced, revenue generating applications today to TVs and PCs, and to Windows mobile phones in the future with minimal technology investment."

The i5 C-SDP has been commercially deployed with multiple service providers since mid-2004. The i5 C-SDP and i-Inform application suite are on display this week at the CTAM Summit Boston, July 17-19 in Integra5 booth #211.
