LAKE FOREST, Calif., Aug. 20, 2002 -- Wonderware, an operating unit of Invensys plc, today introduced version 2.0 of its award-winning DT Analyst(TM) system for improving plant profitability. DT Analyst supports production efficiency initiatives by equipping teams with accurate, detailed information on plant production, equipment availability and the reasons behind availability losses. Along with Wonderware's other industrial intelligence offerings, DT Analyst provides manufacturers with the ability to visualize, analyze and optimize plant operations for improving return on capital investments.
DT Analyst 2.0 now supports near real-time overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) calculations. OEE, a widely used metric of efficiency, is commonly used to compare the performance of plants, lines and even production teams.
